Happy Valentine's Eve!

Valentine's Day is one of my favorite holidays of the year -- I just adore any occasion to have mushy love stuff all around!  My dad is probably responsible for why I love the holiday so much -- every year when I was little (and as I grew up to be not-so-little), I would look forward to that heart-shaped candy box that I always could count on from him.  And just as I could always count on him to be my #1 Valentine (until my sweet husband came and claimed that title), I have a feeling this little darling is gonna be melting her Daddy's heart on her first Valentine's Day!

Little Things...

I love this photo of our youngest daughter because while it's just a glimpse into a day in her life, we are always reminded that time goes so quickly and I want to savor every bit of my family -- who they are, what they are all about right in this moment.  Tomorrow, they might not make the same silly faces or put together the same crazy outfits.  I am promising myself to cherish more of the little things in life...  Thank you to all my customers who trust me with documenting your little things in life... and your really BIG things!  You all become our extended family and I'm grateful to have such a wonderful life where I can watch your families grow.

Here are some images from an amazing photoshoot on the Air Force Academy's Falcon Stadium with the amazing model, Tassi.  This is part of the commercial photography we are doing for the 2012 KILO Calendar that will be available for sale later this year.  As you can see, we were trying to beat a storm that was trying to shut us down.  Makes for amazing Colorado sky photos!!

Most guys don't get so excited about their senior pictures like girls do.  Girls... we like to change clothes and change hair and make it a whole experience!  Most guys just want to make it as painless as possible.  But, it's my intention to make senior portraits for guys as much fun for them as it is for girls.  The way I try to do that is to find out what the personality of the senior is and to concentrate on those things. 

You can see these senior photos from Austin here represent who he is -- a cool Colorado guy who is easy and laid back and loves dunking a basketball.  Super awesome no-fuss photos of a super awesome no-fuss guy.
