A&E "got milk?"

So, things are so busy and exciting around the A&E Studio in Colorado Springs right now. The A&E Top Model Program is underway and the competition is heating up as these guys are turning it on!! They are learning so much and we are seeing them transform right before us and it's so much fun to watch and be part of.

I'm the in-house photographer for the A&E Studio and on the judges' panel and each of these ladies is doing such a great job. Below you will find each girl's (and guy's) best shot for the "got milk?" ad challenge where they had to come up with a character that could be used in the campaign based on preparation, professionalism, posing, and overall delivery of the challenge instructions.

Celebrity Ashton Grant

I am constantly amazed at the job I am so fortunate to have -- I love getting to photograph these hip celebrities and more than that, get to know them. Ashton is just about as down-to-earth, nice gal as you can find. She's a dream to photograph and a blast to be around! She's got tons of new stuff coming up - for one, she'll be at the Chapel Hills Mall on December 6th for a live performance, and you can have the opportunity to be photographed with her, so be sure and come on out if you can!

Exciting News!

It is with much excitement and gratitude that I write about a bit of recent news that has made me so thrilled and proud. Thanks to Jim Miotke, who is a talented photographer and writer of photography books, for the chance to have my work published in his new book, Photographing Children. This is a huge honor to become a published photographer and I am so very excited. Thanks, also, to Lawson and Kallie, who were the lucky models whose images were chosen for the book! Congratulations, girls!

SNOW!!!!!

I LOVE the snow. Here in our neighborhood, I'm the one who can be found running around in the streets yelling each year when our first snow arrives. And yes, it was me running around the streets early this morning in my leopard print pajamas, so don't call the police on the crazy woman on the loose... :)

AND what this means is that in Colorado, ski season in in full-swing! And for those of you headed to the slopes this year, we've got some exciting things going on for our "Day in the Life" photo sessions. These are INCREDIBLE sessions where I follow your family around for the day -- eating breakfast, hitting the slopes, going on a sleigh ride, relaxing at the lodge, etc. These sessions are the perfect way to document your vacation or just a normal day in the life of your family, so call when you're headed to the mountains so we can help preserve your vacation the way you want to remember it!

Bellies...

Mmmmm.... those bellies -- if you know me, you know that I ADORE maternity sessions and each time I get an expectant mommy in here, it makes me want another baby soooo bad and sends Rob into a panic. :) And this mommy, Marlo (lovin' her name) made it in just in time, as her baby boy, LAWSON, was born just a short time later. We just had them in for the newborn session and at just over 5 pounds of sweetness, I just love him! And here are some images of baby Lawson in his beautiful mommy's tummy!
