Madison Hotel/Clark's Bridal Shoot

Robert and I just returned from a mid-south trip. One of the highlights being a commercial photo shoot for The Madison Hotel and Clark's Bridal & Formal. What a great time we had!

The Madison Hotel is in the amazing historical downtown area of Memphis and is one of the best luxury boutique hotels in the country... world, actually! It was featured in the Small Luxury Resorts and Hotels of the World.

We photographed a bride & groom at the Madison Hotel in late September and produced amazing photos from their picturesque setting with views of the Mississippi River and the Memphis Bridge from a rooftop patio, so we were thrilled to get to go back and work with the staff of the Madison again. A huge thanks to Josh at the Madison Hotel, and the entire staff, which make the "luxury" part of their description an understatement. We rarely experience this kind of service and helpfulness and they really do go the extra mile.

We staged from the immaculate Presidential Suite there last Thursday, which has sweeping views of the river and downtown. If you ever want to splurge and have a romantic evening this is definitely the place for you.

Another special thanks goes to Shelley and her models from Clark's Bridal & Formal in Jonesboro, AR, for making my job easy with beautiful models and gowns to photograph. I have many gowns of my own in my closet that my girls now play dress-up in that came from Clark's Bridal, so this was also a special assignment for me to get to work with a company that has outfitted me for many formal events back in the day. Their gowns are exquisite and customer service beyond compare.

Below you will see a sample of the stunning images we were able to create for them last week.

This photo was taken in the lobby of the Madison Hotel.
On the rooftop with the Mississippi River in the background. (doesn't it look like it was so warm outside? Do not let that photo fool you -- these models were professional in every sense, as they braved temperatures in the 20's and did not ONCE complain -- those of you who think being a professional model is easy should have been on this shoot. Wow... is all I can say! Thank you girls, for being so great...)
The Memphis Bridge...

The entrance from Madison Avenue...
The grand piano in the lobby...
Lobby sitting area...

The GORGEOUS lobby...
The artwork featured throughout the hotel is so very beautiful...

And here are some behind the scenes photos from the day. A big thank you to my brother and sister-in-law for coming by and helping -- behind the scenes photos courtesy of Amber & Trent...

Did I mention it was 25 degrees and these models were in these gowns outside?

The pics are gorgeous! I just arrived home from the Memphis area...it was so cold, I don't see how those girls stood out there like that! I always think of you when I drive by your hometown exit. :)

Hope all is well with you guys!

Teresa, omg. I can't believe we are just now reconnecting. I am so jealous. look at all these accomplishments you have gained. you are so talented.. I should just take my photography site off the air after looking at how awesome your stuff is. So give me the scoop. Did you go to any schools? to learn it all. or is just pure talent? I want to go to WPPI next year. i can't make it to Vegas next week. Is it usually a good conference? I really want to visit. Maybe glean some of your perfection!
